Executive & Technical Director
As Executive & Technical Director, Paul is responsible for the overall direction of the Gran Prix of Beverly and is the point of contact between the host cycling club Essex County Velo (ECV) and USA Cycling.
Paul has been racing bicycles since 1994 and is the President of Essex County Velo. He has been the race director for the Gran Prix of Gloucester, one of the largest cyclocross races in North America, since its inception in 1999. Paul also helped revive the Witches Cup race in Salem and worked as the Race Director for 2007 and 2008.
When not riding bicycles or enjoying the occasional Belgian beer, Paul is a Senior Human Factors Engineer for a multinational computer technology corporation and lives in Beverly, MA with his wife and their two sons.
Operations & Expo Director
As Operations and Expo Director, Chris' duties are varied. He is a strategic planner working with Paul on the overall production of the event. Chris can best be described as the fire fighter - working on last minute issues before they become problems. Chris will also use his connections to secure sweet prizes for our non-cash categories and our volunteer raffle. Chris also works directly with vendors in our Expo Area.
VOLUNTEER & Art DIRECTOR
For some, tracking volunteers can be a little like herding cats. For Patrick... well, it's still like hearing cats, but he does it with a smile! Having been involved with GP Beverly and GP Gloucester since 2011, Patrick has been filling in any of the gaps that pop up here and there throughout the planning and implementation of the events.
Outside of the bicycle stuff, Patrick spends the vast majority of his time perfecting his pour over skills and slowly converting any anyone in sight into a Sonos user.
